Clubs begin in the week of January 5th, 2027 and meet weekly through the end of February 19th, 2027. These rates are good Monday-Friday, Non-Holidays, from 3PM until Close. There are no ski club lessons on Mondays, Weekends, or Holidays.

Below is an excerpt from the 2026-2027 Student Ski & Snowboard program packet

The Patch Program is a level-based learning system where students earn colored patches corresponding to their skill level as they
complete ski or snowboard lessons. These patches are awarded as they master specific skills and advance to the next level. Patch program strictly enforced, Lessons are about 50 minutes long and start at 6PM. No Exceptions.

By enrolling your student in the patch program, you are agreeing to the rules of the program. Parents can not take their child on a lift that they have not earned a patch for-even just to practice. Your child will be instructed to walk back from the lift.

·        Experienced students may begin lessons at the level that matches their ability. They do not need to start with the beginner lesson.

·        Patches are only given after the completion of the lesson.

·        It may take multiple attempts to pass each level of patch lessons.

·        Previously earned patches are good for current and future seasons.

·        Highest patch earned must be displayed. Example: (Sewn on, key chain, zip tie, arm band.)

·        Additional lesson cards can be purchased at the ski school desk.

·        Any lesson questions or need to book a lesson to earn patches through private/semi-private, please call our lesson desk, 248-887-7111.

It is the responsibility of the students participating in the Student Ski & Snowboard Club Program to make sure they are on the appropriate hill and riding the correct lift. Students must have the appropriate patch before attempting to ride the lifts. If not, students may be turned away from lifts and will need to walk back to the appropriate terrain.

Behavioral Expectations: Respect other sponsors, chaperones, instructors, staff, other members, and general public. Alpine Valley does not tolerate bad behavior. Management can revoke club or group membership anytime.

The patch program is intended as a courtesy to introduce students to this activity in a safe, affordable, and organized manner with proper oversight by professional ski and snowboard instructors. If they do not feel they need this oversight, they are welcome to purchase a full-price ticket and not participate in the program.
